Familia Torres has been ranked among the five most admired wine brands in the world for 2025, according to the list published this week by the British magazine Drinks International. The ranking is compiled based on a survey of 100 wine industry professionals. This recognition highlights the strength and consistency of the century-old family winery, which has remained in the top five positions throughout the 15 editions of The World’s Most Admired Wine Brands list.
Familia Torres, praised by the magazine for being “a world leader in sustainable winemaking" and “the broad scope of its global presence”, has topped the global list seven times and the European list 12 times. This track record makes it "the most successful producer in the history of our ranking," according to Drinks International editor Shay Waterworth. In 2025, the winery ranks fifth globally, third in Europe, and second nationally.
Miguel A. Torres, president of Familia Torres, expressed his gratitude for the support and trust of the industry professionals who participated in the survey. "This recognition reflects the effort and dedication of our family, collaborators, and distributors, to whom I am also deeply grateful," he stated.
"The challenges we face as a sector have only strengthened our commitment to sustainability, innovation, and the positioning of our brand. Since 2008, we have invested 23 million euros in climate change adaptation and mitigation measures, particularly in the installation of photovoltaic panels, CCR (Carbon Capture Reuse) technologies, energy efficiency measures, water management, reforestation… Addressing climate change is a priority for us if we want to ensure the quality and excellence of our wines and spirits in the future," concluded Miguel A. Torres.
Each year, Drinks International compiles The World’s Most Admired Wine Brands ranking based on the responses of 100 wine professionals from around the world, including sommeliers, Masters of Wine, buyers, writers and educators. A proportion of the panel rotates each year to ensure fair representation and a progressive voting pool. Participants are asked to name the five brands they most admire based on criteria such as wine quality and consistency, value for money, and brand strength.
